Jon Clegg the BGT Wild Card

It’s official! E3 Group favourite Jon Clegg has been given the ‘wild card’ and will be performing in the Britain’s Got Talent final this weekend.

E3 have been long standing fans of Jon’s work, in fact it was E3’s CEO, David Hill, who gave Jon his first break, taking him from a holiday resort entertainer to a stand-alone professional act. E3 wish Jon all the best in the final – this might just be the year where the wild card wins! Fingers Crossed!

From the Belfast Telegraph;
Impressionist Jon Clegg has been chosen as the “wildcard” act who will complete the line-up of finalists for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
He said he was “on top of the world” to be given a second chance and join the 10 acts who are already through to the finale of the ITV show on Saturday night.
Jon follows in his father’s foosteps as he had been a contestant on TV talent show New Faces in the 1980s with his own mimicry.
In his audition the cruise entertainer and panto performer did a Celebrity Big Brother-themed act which included an impression of programme boss Simon Cowell.
In his semi final, he did a TV channel-hopping routine that included his versions of John Bishop, Paul O’Grady, Michael McIntyre and BGT hosts Ant and Dec.
He missed out on a place in the final after the judges’ decision went to deadlock, but he is now back in the running for the £250,000 prize and a chance to take part in the Royal Variety Performance.
Jon said: “My dad is absolutely over the moon. He’s so made up for me. Hopefully he’ll be able to come and see me perform on Saturday.”
