Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumental, alternative folk, neo-medieval experimentalist Marie-Claire Calvet has spent the last three years evolving her own original voice and writing songs with a rich, evocative power that is complimented by a haunting and ethereal voice. She performs a set of original material and covers in her own unique style, on keyboard, harpsichord voices, or with a combination of keyboards and acoustic guitar. Her live performance has been described as hypnotic, mesmerising and enchanting, creating a unique atmosphere for various different types of occasions and events.

Marie-Claire is strongly influenced by musical theatre and can perform covers in her own unique voice. The songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Schoenberg, Irving Berlin, Rogers and Hart, and various Disney classics form part of her impressive repertoire as well as songs by Edif Piaf, Jacques Brel, Barbara and Aznavour which she sings in the original French language.

Marie-Claire held a residency as classical pianist at Leeds castle for three years before studying for a BA degree in Modern Languages. Marie-Claire has a plethora of live experience under her belt, having performed her own original material and covers at gigs, weddings, communions, festivals and other events. She has also pursued various collaborations, both in music and as a writer for others. Marie-Claire is currently developing a body of material for her debut EP album.
