Maria Lawson is an extremely talented and vivacious singer whose voice has been likened to that of Tina Turner and Whitney Houston. Maria’s exit from the show was surrounded in controversy following public outcry at judge Louis Walsh’s decision to keep the Conway Sisters in the show over her.

Simon Cowell commented on Maria’s performances, "It is rare in this country that you find someone as talented as you.” High praise indeed from the judge famed for his less than complimentary assessments of some contestants. After leaving the show, Maria had no less then four major record labels clamouring for her signature and she eventually opted to sign with Sony BMG. The release of her first, self titled album, Maria Lawson, followed soon after and her first official Single Sleepwalking was a top twety hit. Maria went on to sign a lingerie deal with Bravissimo after being recognised for her obvious beauty and sparkling personality.

Maria’s new studio album, Emotional Rollercoaster, is her best work yet. It has been produced by the fantastic Brian Rawling who previously produced for one of her idol’s, Tina Turner. This album has taken her down a route which is more organic, more edgy and more intimate and it shows off Maria’s talent as one of the UK’s finest, premiere artists. Maria’s amazing vocals have made her entertainer of choice for many blue chip clients at corporate events. Maria’s style also lends itself perfectly to more intimate, private functions; in fact, her stunning vocals are the perfect entertainment option for almost any event imaginable.
