Terry Christian is best known for fronting The Word, Channel 4`s controversial cult live late night show which ran from 1990 - 1995 and achieved audience figures as high as three and a half million (only since bettered by the first series of Big Brother). Terry currently presents various shows on BBC Radio Manchester.

He also presented Sky One`s Backchat dealing with viewers` feedback and is a regular contributor to the BBC`s Heaven and Earth show. Terry also fronts the successful youth discussion show It`s My Life for ITV, now on its fifth series. Terry has most recently been seen on ITV1 with his new show, Turn On Terry, giving his opinion on the week`s big TV shows, as well as Channel 5`s The Farm and Sky One`s Celebrity Fear Factor.

Terry started his career in radio and his accolades are staggering - BBC Radio Derby, Radio 4`s `WPFM`, Signal Radio and Piccadilly Radio, and that`s just the start! Whilst developing his deep interest in music in his radio shows and newspaper column, Terry`s big break came along. He was approached by 24 Hour Productions (later Planet 24) to help conceive and later present a new youth show for Channel 4. Thus The Word was born, taking it`s title from Terry`s Manchester Evening News column of the same name.

Terry continues to be considered an icon of British youth culture and television and after an extremely successful stint on Celebrity Big Brother, he has once again confirmed his status as an astute and acerbic commentator on life.
