Steve Penk is the nationally renowned radio presenter, famous for his comedic presenting style and now legendary wind-up calls to celebrities, world leaders and members of the public alike. He has been a constant fixture on UK radio for over a decade and currently presents the breakfast show on Heart FM as well as making numerous public, corporate and television appearances.
Steve began his career presenting the weekend mid-morning shows, and Sunday evening show, on Manchester's Key 103. His presenting style and comedy banter made him such a success that in 1996 he joined London's Capital Radio, presenting the mid-morning show. Steve then moved on to Virgin Radio to present the breakfast show. Steve has also launched a successful TV career presenting primetime Saturday night shows including TV's Naughtiest Blunders and TV Nightmares. He's also hosted a 40th anniversary Coronation Street Special entitled The Way They Were.
Steve is most famous for his hilarious wind-up calls. His most notorious on air wind-up caused a sensation when Steve called Tony Blair at Number Ten. This prank soon became the stuff of legends, making the front pages of all the national newspapers, gaining national television coverage and cementing Steve’s place as one of the boldest men on the nation’s airwaves. Steve has released Greatest Hits CDs of his wind-up's, with more in the pipeline, and they are currently storming the comedy download charts on iTunes.
