Derren Brown is an exceptionally talented entertainer, performer and illusionist referred to by Empire magazine as “the closest our galaxy can boast to a Jedi master”. He mixes magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship to famously create an entertainment spectacle as beguiling as it is engrossing. Derren has commented on his own performances “I am often dishonest in my techniques but I’m always honest about my dishonesty”.

Derren first appeared on our screens in 1999 in the Channel 4hit show Derren Brown: Mind Control. From this day forward, Derren has been a regular fixture on our screens producing arguably some of the most talked about psychological illusion shows in UK TV history. Derren has starred in a further two series of Mind Control, created three series of the excellent Derren Brown: Trick of the Mind and most recently, two series of Trick or Treat. In amongst these critically acclaimed shows, Derren found the time to produce some outstanding, and in some parts, controversial one-off programmes. Derren Brown: Russian Roulette, Derren Brown: The System, Derren Brown: Séance and Derren Brown: Messiah left audiences in shock and awe at Derren’s mental control, powers of persuasion and, in the case of Russian Roulette and the System, his unbelievable bravery. Derren Brown: The Heist challenged people perceptions of right and wrong as well as being gripping entertainment.

In amongst all this, Derren has found the time to tour the UK with his spectacular and critically acclaimed stage shows. Something Wicked This Way Comes, which culminated in a sell-out three week run at the Cambridge Theatre, won the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment Show, an accolade well deserved. Derren is also an accomplished novelist and artist with a best selling book, Tricks of the Mind, under his belt and a collection of celebrity portraitures soon to be published.
