Born under the ‘Keep off the Grass’ sign in Margate in 1980. From the moment he entered the world, Lloyd Hollett has enjoyed entertaining. Rumour has it that, even in his pram, the baby Lloyd was great at putting on a show. Give him a rattle, a dummy or a teddy bear and he would give you a ten minute routine. Now he fills theatres – then he filled nappies!

Lloyd first tread the boards in 1990 at The Theatre Royal in Margate in their production of Oliver in which he played one of the workhouse boys starring alongside Christopher Beeny. From that day on he never looked back. Theatre credits with Kent based The Arts Company include The Rocky Horror Show ,Little Shop of Horrors ,Return to the Forbidden Planet, Bugsy Malone and Godspell.

As a Comedian, his one man show has proved more and more popular over the years. Not only does he headline them, but he also writes, produces and directs the shows himself. Past shows put on at The Theatre Royal Margate include: An Audience With… (1999), Alive & Dangerous (2000), For One Night Only (2002), Live & Uplifting (2003) and Mad & Manic (2004), which was filmed for DVD. Pantomime credits include Cinderella at the Granville Theatre, Ramsgate and Jack and the Beanstalk at the Theatre Royal, Margate where he worked alongside BBC Radio Kent’s Pat Marsh. Other credits include supporting funnyman Paul Harris in The Big Laughter Show, a special guest appearance on BBC Radio Kent’s Showtime plus many Cabaret tours with companies such as Thomson Cruises, Butlins, Pontins, Haven and First Choice Holidays.

His act defies description – let’s just say he’s all over the place! In the pursuance of his trade, he has endured injuries that have included a twisted ankle, sprained back, inflamed lung, chipped nail, one deeply cut chin and concussion. It is hoped that all future performances end with the ringing of the audience’s applause in Lloyd’s ears as opposed to that of an ambulance!
