Alan Carr`s comedy first caught the attention of the critics when he won the New Comedian Of The Year Award at the 2001 BBC New Comedy Awards. He went on to acheive great success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where his shows were a sell-out. In 2005 he was named Best Stand up comedian in the North West at the North West Comedy Awards.

Alan has reached an even bigger audience as co-presenter of the Channel 4 hit series The Sunday Night Project, alongside Justin Lee Collins. He is a regular on the comedy gameshow 8 Out of Ten Cats and has made numerous other television appearances including a week long stint in Dictionary Corner for Channel 4`s Countdown.

Alan har recently produced his own new show, Celebrity Ding Dong, published an autobiography and embarked on a national tour entitled, The Tooth Fairy.
