Michelle Heaton made up part of the hugely successful pop group Liberty X. The band was formed after the popular ITV show Popstars, now known as X Factor, chose Hearsay` as their overall winners. Michelle narrowly missed out on being part of Hearsay` but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as she and four other contestants broke away and formed Liberty X.
The band went on to become one of the UK’s most popular pop outfits. Liberty X achieved ten consecutive UK top 20 singles including a number one single with Just a Little and a number three album, Thinking it Over. Their second album was equally successful producing chart toppers such as Ain’t Nobody and Jumpin’. Liberty X also recorded the official Children In Need single for 2005; a cover of Shalamar’s classic A Night to Remember.
Liberty X announced that were officially splitting up and performed their last ever gig together in September 2007. Michelle herself had become a household name with various TV appearances and magazine coverage to her name. Michelle writes a weekly column for OK! Magazine and has appeared in various lads mags including Loaded. She has also embarked on successful television career, appearing in Totally Scott-Lee on MTV. Michelle is a judge on You’re A Star, which is Ireland’s version of X Factor, and was the focus of her own reality show, Michelle and Andy’s Big Day. Michelle recently finished a successful stint on Celebrity Big Brother, alongside Latoya Jackson, Coolio and Terry Christian to name but a few. With numerous appearances and performances planned for the coming year, Michelle’s career is moving from strength to strength.
