Mark Ramparkash is an internationally renowned sportsman. He has dedicated his life to the sport he loves, cricket, since he was seventeen years old. Enjoying an illustrious career, Mark has used his famous batting skills for Middlesex, Surrey and of course, the England Cricket team. Mark was widely recognised as one of the finest batsmen of his generation and he was the first professional player to score a century against all eighteen county cricket sides.

Mark started his career at Middlesex where he consistently impressed. At the age of twenty one, he was called up to the national team for his first test match against the West Indies at Headingley. Mark moved to Surrey in 2001 and has since gone on to be one of the most prolific batsmen in cricket history. In 2006, his form won him the Professional Cricketers` Association Player of the Year Award and selection as one of five Wisden Cricketers of the Year.

Mark decided to branch out from cricket in 2006 and following in ex-England team mate Darren Gough’s footsteps, became one of the contestants on Strictly Come Dancing. With his partner Karen Hardy, Mark recorded maximum points for the Salsa, seeing off competition from fellow sportsman Matt Dawson and his partner Lilia. Mark was eventually crowned winner of Strictly Come Dancing, doing it in fantastic style.
