Linda acheived fame in 1976, at the age of 18, as a page three model. She has since appeared in the drama series The Bill and Brookside. She took part in the reality game show The Games in 2004 and the ITV daytime programme Have I Been Here Before? She regularly appears in seasonal pantomime shows and on television programmes such as Loose Women. She also sells a range of skin-care products on shopping television. Linda joined the cast of Emmerdale in January 2007 as Carrie Nicholls, an ex of Tom King and mother of his secret child, Scarlet. In real life, Linda is married to actor Sam Kane and they have two children.

Linda is a supporter of UK pantomime and with her husband they star in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs each Christmas at major theatres in the UK. Recent venues have included Woking, Southend and Plymouth. Linda has performed regularly for The E3 Group, including Up Close and Personal with Linda Lusardi; an informal and relaxed evening`s entertainment that has recently been a success with First Choice holidaymakers.
