Julian came to the forefront of British Television for his role as Fashion Stylist on the popular and much-loved series, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on Living TV in 2004.
He has extensive experience in the fashion industry, having worked at Marie Claire magazine in 2000, organizing the Fashion Breakfast with Liz Walker and then moving to Nova magazine.
Julian’s expertise could also be heard on our radio stations such as Capital FM and Radio 1 and Radio 5 live. He regularly appeared on Emma B’s show and also styled popular DJs such as Chris Moyles, Richard Bacon, Scott Mills and Colin & Edith. Julian also had his own radio show on Gaydar Radio doing the Saturday breakfast show. After joining the team he helped the radio station win the ‘Best new Digital radio station’ award at the Digital music radio Awards, 2007.
In 2007, Julian presented BBC3’s Help! My Dog’s As Fat As Me – a show dedicated to getting the nation’s dogs and their owners fitter and healthier. He was also invited to commentate on celebrity fashion from that year’s Comic Relief Does Fame Academy with pet dachshund Lulu in tow!
Last year Julian was regularly on our screens doing a new weekly pet makeover strand on Richard and Judy called Extreme Makeover: Hutch Edition, as well as appearing as their fashion journalist alongside Hannah Sandling. Julian also regularly appears on Trisha as a fashion expert and relationship expert.
Julian has a lot of experience hosting events including charity balls. He recently hosted Lord Kelly`s birthday party and charity auction and also an auction for Barnardo’s, selling all of Dame Shirley Bassey’s clothes from the 70’s to the 80’s.
