Tropicana North East are the north east of England's premier Salsa and Latin party band, inspired by musical greats such as Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, The Gypsy Kings and Sierra Maestra to name but a few. The band were formed in 2007 by local musician and salsa DJ - Richard Bailey and have grown from a 3 piece to a 6 piece. Tropicana North East also perform in well known dance halls and clubs in the north east area of the UK.

The band, which is scalable to meet your event requirements, features the talents of Richard Bailey on piano, Terry Capewell on bass, John Howarth on trumpet, David Vaughan on sax and vocals, Keith Cadwallender on drums and Alan Mincher on lead vocals.

Tropicana North East or, T.N.E for short, covers many famous Latin tunes from years gone by including: Oye Como Va, El Manicero, La Bamba, Vehicle, Tequila, Vamonos Pal Monte and many more. Laos the Band perform a range of jazz numbers which are also ideal for restaurants, weddings and special occasions.
