Over the Wall, Over the Moon

Over the Wall

The children’s charity Over The Wall brought together a fabulous evening of entertainment recently with the assistance of our E3 Artists booking team. Their Tribute to Paul Newman event on Sunday May 8th at the Playhouse Theatre was a great success, helping to raise money and awareness for a brilliant cause.

E3 Artists co-ordinated appearances from George and Larry Lamb, The Barwizards, X-Factor‘s Danyl Jonson, Britain’s Got Talent‘s Tobias Mead. Needless to say, the evening was a fantastic mix of comedy, magic, dance and music…those involved were over the moon!

Razy Gogonea vs Michael Moral

May 12th, 2011

Razy Gogonea booking agents

The two most notable, solo dance acts from the auditions so far held for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent are both continental Europeans, but which one is the best? Razy Gogonea or Michael Moral? I asked some of our booking agents here in the E3 Artists office for their opinions and the feedback has been quite divided.

Those in favour of Razy Gogonea seem to think:

* His Matrix inspired dance routine is genuinely unique and inspired
* With added production elements, his act would be great for sci-fi events
* His mimicry of the physics bending moves from the film are spot-on

Whilst those in favour of Michael Moral seem to think:

* His combination of classic mime elements with modern break-dancing is brilliant
* He has more sex appeal than Razy (in a body-bendy sort of way)
* He has a fluid, modern style that a lot of dance event organisers will love

It will be interesting to see which of these acts progress in the competition and what they can do to “step-up” their performances. In the meantime, tell us what you think of their routines? Do you prefer Razy’s Matrix moves or Michael’s fluid body popping?

Michael Moral Flies in to BGT Contest

May 11th, 2011

Michael Moral booking agents

Body popping dancer Michael Moral literally flew into the fourth round of auditions for the ITV show Britain’s Got Talent last Saturday. The 21 year old had arrived earlier on an airplane from France. “I hope the judges give me a chance to show Britain what I can do”. He did just that, delivering an outstanding routine that embraced elements of mime and break dance. “That was probably the best break dancing we’ve had on this show” said judge, David Hasslehoff.

Our London based booking agents here at E3 Artists are regularly approached by event planners looking for unique dance acts to open their events and we anticipate that Michael Moral will be a popular choice this year. Other interesting acts from the fourth round of Britain’s Got Talent included the Jackson Five-esque boyband group New Bounce who delivered some nice harmonies after a shaky opening start song. Young artist Nathan Wyburn impressed with his works made from marmite and toast whilst 42 year old Robert Fulford, a quite masculine looking Welshman, surprised everyone in the audience with his very high pitched but enjoyable love song singing. “You won the hearts of the audience and you won mine as well” said the Hoff.

Finally, Girls Roc, a 7 member performance variety act, raised the heat in the auditorium with their sexy dancing, snake charming and fire eating. The 22 to 25 year old girls were “dangerous, well put together” and “exciting” according to Judge Amanda Holden. However, it was dancer Michael Moral who appeared to steal this week’s episode of the show and our agents here in the London office will be keen to see how he progresses in the competition.

Ronan Parke New BGT Favourite

May 4th, 2011

Ronan Parke booking agents

12 year old singer Ronan Parke has become a new favourite to win this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent following his bold performance of the Nina Simone track Feeling Good on last Saturday’s edition of the show. Our London based booking agents have even fielded some premature phone calls from event planners looking for advice on how to book Ronan and other contestants from the show. Ronan was certainly a stand-out act from round 3 of the auditions, with judge Louis Walsh announcing “Ronan Parke, remember that name…this kid is going to be a star!”

Other interesting acts from Saturday’s show included the Oxford student collective, Out of the Blue, who performed a very clever and original song and dance routine utilizing elements of Lady Gaga. “It was a triumph” declared judge Amanda Holden. After a shaky and uncertain start, 66 year old singer and guitarist Herbie Armstrong won over the judges and audience with Louis Walsh praising his “great tone and great voice”. 7 year old schoolgirl Olivia Binfield terrified everyone with her snake act whilst teenage martial arts trio, TKD Remix, ripped up the stage with some unexpected Bhangra inspired dance moves in addition to some headache inspiring wooden block smashing.

The word among our booking agents at the E3 office is that Ronan Parke is set to win; which has been firmly agreed on account of the fact that his performance made one of our agents cry. The UK’s Top Dancers and Dance Acts

April 29th, 2011

Our booking agents at E3 Artists are frequently approached by high profile clients looking for dance acts with the ‘wow’ factor to open or appear on the roster for their major events, conferences and festivals. Our team work closely with a wide range of dancers for hire, as well as some of the UK’s most cutting-edge and innovative choreographers and dance brands. These include:

Twist and Pulse

Dancers for hire: Twist and Pulse

Having risen to fame on the 2010 series of Britain’s Got Talent, Twist and Pulse are now in hot demand for live events, dance workshops, festivals, TV and film work. E3 Artists have been working closely with this talented duo, recently securing them an appearance at Drayton Manor theme park, where the boys opened the brand new BEN10 ride.

Tobias Mead

Dancers for hire: Tobias Mead

Clients’ looking for talented solo dancers for hire at their events frequently request availability for Tobias Mead, who also rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent. Tobias has recently been in rehearsals for one of Easter 2011’s biggest events with our client Thorpe Park. Headlining their Twisted Carnival, Tobias created a brand new routine especially for these shows taking place from 22nd – 25th April.

Akai

Dancers for hire: Akai

Akai is without doubt one of the most talented and youngest of our available dancers for hire. The 11 year old street dancer is the winner of Got To Dance 2010 and is now very much in demand for public events and festivals. E3 Artists recently secured Akai, together with Twist and Pulse, as the star turns in the dance event Have To Dance at the forthcoming ArtsFest at Wellington College this summer.

Flava

Dancers for hire: Flava

Another popular act from Britain’s Got Talent, and one that our agents frequently recommend to clients, is Flava. Recently, this hip-hop dance group flew over to Frankfurt for the Nokia & Siemens Network conference. In an appearance arranged by E3 Artists, the group were cleverly disguised as waiters during the event, before exploding out into the conference with an array of crazy moves and polished routines, taking the event guests completely by surprise! A standing ovation concluded their performance and, needless to say, we had nothing but positive feedback fro our client.

Signature

Dancers for hire: Signature

Michael Jackson and Bhangra inspired dance act, Signature, continue to prove an extremely popular booking with both corporate and private events planners. E3 Artists recently secured the duo an appearance at a surprise 40th birthday party in Nottingham. In addition to their stage performance, the duo danced with the guests; everyone loved it and the E3 team managed to keep the whole event a surprise.

Flawless

Dancers for hire: Flawless

Our list of cutting-edge dancers for hire wouldn’t be complete without the inclusion of Flawless. This act has gone from strength to strength since reaching the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, and recently made a huge impact with our client Travel Weekly at their Globe Travel Awards. Agent Tom O’Connell and the E3 Artists team are now busy working on the 2012 Globe Travel Awards, making it bigger and better than ever before!

More Dancers for Hire

In addition to those mentioned above, E3 Artists also work with a wide range of the UK’s most talented and cutting-edge dancers and dance troupes, encompassing every style from urban and hip-hop through to ballroom and classical. For further details, contact Tom O’Connell or David McElroy on 020 7836 4759 (Option 1).

Edward Reid Steals Show on Episode 2 of BGT

April 28th, 2011

Edward Reid booking agents

Comic singer Edward Reid was among the stand-out acts from the second round of auditions for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent competition. Edward performed a variety of children’s nursery rhymes accompanied by a Leona Lewis backing track. The surreal combination had both the audience and judges amused and enraptured, provoking new judge David Hasslehoff to call it “really creative and very funny”. Michael McIntrye speculated that he could “definitely see you getting booked for Elton John’s child’s first birthday party”.

Other stand-out acts from the show included the Matrix inspired body-popper Razy Gogonea, who succumbed to tears when given “three yes’s” from the judges. “You’re like a real life video game. Very, very, very entertaining” said David Hasslehoff. Impressionist Les Gibson also won over both the audience and judges, although Mr. Hasslehoff looked somewhat confused by some of his impressions including a brilliantly executed impersonation of Kevin Webster from Coronation Street. Cute singer and pet contestants, Pip and Puppy, won over everyone with the cute factor. Puppy sang along with her owner, prompting Amanda Holden to ask if she’s able to perform Lady GaGa too. “I could definitely try” responded Pip, but apparently Puppy is “very fussy” with regards to the tunes she sings along to.

Our agents at the E3 office will be keeping a close eye on the progress of Edward Reid and Razy Gogonea, who both look like strong contenders in the competition so far.
