E3 Group is a dynamic and innovative entertainment production company
and booking agency with offices in London and Brighton and operations
in over fourteen countries.
One of E3 Artists’ managed acts, Billy, has made it through to bootcamp with his band Brooklyn in series 8 of the X Factor. The band received strong praise from judges including Gary Barlow who felt it “was a really good audition” and Louis Walsh who summarised the performance by saying “I think there’s something good here”.
The boys are already busy as a result of their television appearance, and have now confirmed several event bookings including nightclub appearances, charity events and Christmas Lights switch-on events. To book the band for your event, please contact one of our booking agents on 020 7836 4759 (option 1) or send us a message via our contact form.
The Sundaes hit the Edinburgh Fringe festival tonight, the first of 6 dates in the Scottish capital. Tickets for the shows are selling fast, so be sure to book ahead by calling 0845 557 6309.
Series 8 of ITV’s The X Factor began last Saturday evening with some stand-out performances by Frankie Cocozza and and Janet Devlin. 18 year old “cheekie chappie” Frankie, charmed the audience and judges with his good humour and Rod Stewart style vocals. Shy and nervous 16 year old Janet, on the other hand, had judge Kelly Rowland “completely in a trance by your voice”. The talented youngster sang Elton John’s Your Song and received a standing ovation at the end.
Other interesting performances included 26 year old woman-on-the-edge Kitty Brucknell, who offered a “great audition” according to judge Gary Barlow and also solicited praise from Louis Walsh who confirmed “you can sing, girl!”.
Our booking agents at our London office will be keeping a close check on the show to see how these contestants progress on X Factor 2011. For information or advice on booking contestants from previous editions of the show, you can contact our office on 020 7836 4759 (option 1).
If you’re heading up to the Edinburgh Fringe festival this year, make sure you don’t miss Kev Orkian’s show which starts this Friday 5th August. After a successful run at the Fringe last year, two international tours, numerous national tours and personal invitations to entertain royalty; Kev brings the
second instalment to his piano playing foreign character.
Compared to the likes of Bill Bailey, Victor Borge and Jools Holland, Kev will have you rolling in the aisles whilst mesmerising you with his piano skills. Kev’s manager, E3′s own David Hill, says “If there is one show you see this year it has to be Kev Orkian’s. Catch him while you can, he is destined for great things”.
With the school summer holidays now approaching, many parents will be trying to think up ideas to keep their children busy and entertained whilst they’re out of the classroom. For those who are planning summer events or birthday parties, an entertainer will be high on the list of priorities. A timeless and popular classic for these kinds of events is a balloon entertainer, and one that we’re frequently recommending at the moment for forthcoming summer holiday parties is The Brilliant Balloon Man.
Brilliant Balloon Man is performed by Andrew, who has over 20 years’ experience combining music, comedy and, well, brilliant balloon creations for both kids and adults across the country. His fun video above gives you a quick insight into his wonderful skill. Andrew performs shows for adult parties too, although his shows for kids are, of course, completely child friendly and insured. He’s also been a hit with child friendly holiday companies such as Pagel, alongside major multi-national organisations such as Mothercare, NatWest, HSBC and Sky TV.
For details on booking the Brilliant Balloon Man, you can call our London office on 020 7836 4759 (option 1).
The E3 Artists and Events team in London have a busy summer events schedule for 2011, with popular acts requested by clients including The Barwizards and The Sundaes. Although you’d think the weather might be a turn off at the moment, The Bar Wizards are still continuing to be a popular booking for outdoor events. Optimistic event planners are clearly banking on a few sunny days this year for cocktailing slurping, wizard style. Meanwhile, the fabulous comedy-cabaret-girl-group, The Sundaes, are now all set for their first appearance at The Edinburgh Fringe festival, with a show co-ordinated by E3.
Other popular acts this summer include former X Factor star, Jamie Archer, who we just booked for the Viper Rooms in Harrogate – where he’s expected to rock out the crowd. We’re also getting a lot of requests for contestants from this year’s Britain’s Got Talent contest – so our agents are busy advising our clients on dates, costs and schedules.

Congratulations to singer Jai Mcdowall for his well deserved win on the 2011 series of Britain’s Got Talent. The powerful vocalist from Scotland performed to an average 12.5 million viewers in the final of the popular show. He beat the favourite to win, Ronan Parke, who finished in 2nd place.
Our agents at our London office have been fielding a lot of prospective phone calls from event planners since the show finished; with many of our established clients keen to book semi-finalists and finalists from the show. The auditions for the 2011 series of the ITV show Britain’s Got Talent have now concluded with the judges having made a decision on the 40 acts they wish to take through to the semi-finals of the competition. Our booking agents in the London office have been following the competition closely over the last few weeks, and speculation has been rife in our office as to who will go through. In the end, the line-up is close to what we expected with a few exceptions – we didn’t expect to see the gifted dancer Michael Moral exit the competition. That said, rival solo dancer, Razy Gogonea, truly deserved to go through with a performance that was truly spectacular.
So the final 40 in full are:
Jean Martyn
Angela and Teddy
Out of the Blue

Jai McDowall
Abyss

Magic duo, David and Karen, brought a fresh, modern and entertaining new approach to illusionism on week 6 of the 2011 series of Britain’s Got Talent. By minimising the cheesiness sometimes associated with the genre and focusing instead on executing their trick in a slick and controlled manner, the “magic partners” managed to win over both the judges and the audience. “Yes that was annoyingly good as I am never keen on magic” said Amanda Holden, whilst David Hasslehoff congratulated them by saying “you are what this show is about”. Magic acts have rarely progressed far in the Britain’s Got Talent series, however, our booking agents here in the London office anticipate this act will do well both in the competition and off-screen too; with private and corporate bookers looking to secure them for future events.
Other notable acts from week 6 included the teenage rappers Follow The Right Path, who delivered a heart-warming performance devoted to their Grandads which Michael McIntyre described as “heartfelt and impressive”. 7 year old singer Robbie Firmin amused everyone in the theatre by telling Louis Walsh that his “auntie’s looking for a boyfriend” and wondered if he might be interested. He went on to sing My Way, which led Michael McIntyre to announce “Robbie, you’re a star!” South London street dance troupe Abyss made a good impression with a routine described by Louis Walsh as “amazing”, “brilliant” and “slick” whilst shy, 19 year old pianist Paul Gbegbaje played a musical piece which the judges described as “amazing” and “sensational”.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on magic duo David and Karen, to see if they can defy history and take magic through to the finals. In the meantime, if you’re looking for advice on how to book former Britain’s Got Talent acts for your forthcoming events, you can call our London office on 020 7836 4759 (option 1).
Self styled “family of freaks”, Circus of Horrors, appeared to clinch the week 5 auditions for the 2011 series of Britain’s Got Talent. Their wild, energetic and very dangerous looking rock n’ roll freak show had the entire audience on their feet by the end of their performance. The judges were suitably impressed too. “I thought it was fantastic. Now that is what I call entertainment!” said David Hasslehoff, whilst Michael McIntyre referred to them as a “visual feast”. Our booking agents at our London office anticipate that this act will be a popular request by event planners throughout this year.
Other notable acts included the highly talented “dance explosion” Two and Half Men who rocked the audience and the judges with their funky, modern but 50s inspired choreography. “I absolutely loved that, it was really fun and animated” said Amanda Holden. Nervous 24 year old singer Jai McDowall made a big impact with his impressive vocals, which Michael McIntyre described as “really, really wonderful and powerful and emotional” whilst drumming corp The Highwaymen managed to clinch another chance to go through to the semi-finals of the competition via emphatic support from the audience.
Opinion in the London office is now divided over Circus of Horrors or Two and Half Men. Which of these acts do you think stands the best chance in the competition? Let us know what you think.
