Comedian of the Month - Barbara Nice

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Barbara Nice has been a long standing favourite in the E3 Artists office. Performed by comedienne, Janice Connelly, Barbara’s riotous live shows have been a huge hit with many of our clients. Her character based comedy is both endearing and very funny. Performing as a Northern housewife, her show includes a sequence of crowd surfing to the sound of Iggy Pop!

The E3 Artists team believe Barbara Nice is one to watch in 2010 and, as a result, she has been voted this month’s “comedian of the month”. John Bishop’s appearance on the BBC’s Live at the Apollo catapulted him into the limelight. He’s now embarking on a national tour and has his first DVD scheduled for release later this year. A very popular choice now for both private and corporate events, the E3 Artists team think he is deserving of our “comedian of the month” accolade for January 2010.

Comedians to Watch in 2010

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

At E3 Artists we’re regularly approached by clients looking for high calibre comedians for hire but without the price tag associated with major televion stars. With acts such as Jimmy Carr and Bill Bailey commanding over £20,000 for private and corporate appearances, this often places them out of reach for event organisers on lower budgets.

Current hot property on the comedy circuit, and all available to hire for under £3,000 include:

Barbara Nice - The Stockport housewife (pictured above), mother of five and keen Take-a-Break reader is the comic invention of brilliant comedienne Jannice Connelly. Book Barbara from £800+VAT

Kevin Bridges - A big hit on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Road Show last year, Kevin is one to watch in 2010. Book Kevin from £2,000+VAT

Angelos Epithemiou - The comic invention of Renton Skinner, Angelos was unleashed to the world on the last series of the BBC’s Shooting Stars. His stand-up show is equally perplexing and brilliant. Book Angelos from £2,500+VAT

Danny Deegan - A young and gifted up coming comedian with the attitude to boot. Book Danny from £800+VAT

Rachel Fairburn - A finalist in the NIVEA Funny Women Awards 2008, Rachel has more tour dates set-up for 2010. Another talent to keep an eye on. Book Rachel from £800+VAT
