Comedian Seann Walsh is definately on our “one to watch” list. The Brighton based comic had an impressive 2009 winning the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award and Chortle’s Best Newcomer Award (see video below). This together with television appearances on the BBC’s Mock the Week and Russell Howard’s Good News Extra has helped push Seann into the spotlight.

Comedian Mark Watson has become a familiar face on television recently following appearances on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, BBC2’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks and the BBC4 quiz show We Need Answers. He had a busy 2009, completing a 60 date tour of the UK, Melbourne and New Zealand, winning the Fringe First for his show at the Edinburgh festival.

Mark is currently a popular choice for up and coming private and corporate events and has been voted “comedian of the month” for March 2010 by our booking agents. Mark has a busy television and events schedule for this year plus a new tour set to start in October. He does, however, have limited availability and his broad appeal makes him an ideal booking for many of our clients. Barbara Nice has been a long standing favourite in the E3 Artists office. Performed by comedienne, Janice Connelly, Barbara’s riotous live shows have been a huge hit with many of our clients. Her character based comedy is both endearing and very funny. Performing as a Northern housewife, her show includes a sequence of crowd surfing to the sound of Iggy Pop!

The E3 Artists team believe Barbara Nice is one to watch in 2010 and, as a result, she has been voted this month’s “comedian of the month”. John Bishop’s appearance on the BBC’s Live at the Apollo catapulted him into the limelight. He’s now embarking on a national tour and has his first DVD scheduled for release later this year. A very popular choice now for both private and corporate events, the E3 Artists team think he is deserving of our “comedian of the month” accolade for January 2010.

Welsh comedian Rhod Gilbert has been voted December’s “comedian of the month” by E3 Artist’s booking agents. Winner of the Perrier Best Newcomer Award in 2005, Rhod has has since acheived national recognition with appearances on television shows such including Mock The Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. Rhod also recently won the Chortle award for ‘Best Headliner’.

Although he is set to embark on a national tour in February, Rhod does have limited availability for private and corporate events. Following a surge in enquiries for cheeky stand-up Russell Howard, our booking agents here at E3 Artists have decided to honour him with our “comedian of the month” award. A familiar face from BBC Two’s Mock The Week and Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Russell is emerging as one of the UK’s favourite comic personalties.

Although he’s about to embark on a national tour in December, performing at Arenas from London to Manchester, Russell does have limited availability for private and corporate appearances in November and the New Year. Our entertainment agents here at E3 Group are often asked by our major clients; “who are the most ‘up and coming’ or ‘in demand’ comedians on the circuit and are they available for private events?” To help answer this question, the E3 Artists team will each month take a vote on who they think is the hottest ticket in comedy. This month the honour goes to Lancashire born comedian, Jason Manford. The 8 out of 10 Cats star has just embarked on a successful national tour with a DVD of his stand-up due out in November. Jason is a very popular choice for corporate events and award ceremonies although his booking availability is fairly limited in 2009 due to his touring and televsion commitments.
