The E3 Events team has a busy few weeks ahead as we approach the Autumn season. Upcoming events include The Dogs Trust Fundraiser Awards, taking place in Birmingham on 6th September. At the time of writing, not wishing to spoil any surprises, we’re unable to say who is appearing, however we can guarantee that all those attending will appreciate its special guests.

E3 will also be working with Jody Halstead of The African Revival Charity, implementing entertainment for their forthcoming Gala Dinner, (taking place at The Dorchester on the 24th September). In addition, our events team are now gearing up for the very busy Christmas season, working on a number of projects including Christmas Light “Switch Ons” across the UK, Christmas parties and New Years Eve events.

Big Brother’s Joe-John “JJ” Bird is now available for public appearances and private events following his fourth place finish on series 11 of the show. JJ’s fourth place finish was acheived despite only having arrived in the house in week 7 of the 11 week contest. Booking enquiries for JJ can now be made via our agents in our London office. The 23 year old boxer and barman proved a popular face in his relatively short stint on the show.

Mario Mugan, third place runner up on Big Brother series 11, is now available for public appearances and live events. Booking enquiries for Mario can now be made via our agents in our London office. The Essex based contestant, originally from Venice, was originally selected at random to join the other housemates but went on to become one of the most popular faces in the show.

An eventful evening of entertainment on Channel 4 last night resulted in the cheerful Bristolian Josie Gibson winning series 11 of Big Brother and re-entering the house for another 2 and half weeks for the Ultimate Big Brother; the final instalment of the station’s most successful reality TV show.

Ensuring that the show goes out with a bang, Big Brother producers have invited back some of the most infamous and notorious contestants from its ten year history. A night full of surprises included Chantelle Houghton being followed into the house by her estranged ex-husband Preston, “Nasty” Nick Bateman arriving on set wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the words “it’s only a gameshow”, Brian Dowling expressing pretend irritation at his inability to get away from the riotous Nadia Almadia, and Coolio arriving and performing his own “ultimate” rap.

For Big Brother fanatics it looks set to be a “must-see” 18 days of television.

E3 Academy, the E3 Group’s performing arts school, has joined forces with tour operator giant Thomas Cook. From the summer of 2011 onwards, E3 Academy will begin operating in a range of the company’s hotel properties across the Mediterranean. 24 year old singer Katie Waissell had a nervy start to her audition on the ITV show the X-Factor on Saturday night, but she still made it through to the next round with some positive feedback from the judges. Cheryl Cole said she was “won over” whilst other judges referred to her as “likeable” and “charming”. Our London based booking agents expect that Katie will proove a popular choice for events based work when she leaves the show.

E3 Academy is pleased to announce that all performing arts classes are free to attend for the launch of our Brighton school on Saturday 11th September 2010. Classes will include tuition in dance, drama and vocal coaching designed specifically for young people aged 5 to 18. E3 Academy is offering a range of professional performing arts courses each Saturday with the official term beginning on Saturday 18th September (when our usual fees will apply). 18 year old singer Gamu Nhengu breezed through her first audition on ITV’s the X-Factor on Saturday night singing her own rendition of Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. Our London based booking agents have already received some interest from event planners hoping to hire Gamu when she becomes available.

Gamu received great priase from the judges. “I like your energy, I like your song choice, there’s something very likeable about you”, said Louis Walsh. Simon Cowell felt Gamu was “really talented”. The 18 year old student, originally from Zimbabwe, looks as though she has an exciting competition ahead. Series 7 of the X Factor began in earnest last Saturday night, acheiving peak viewing figures of nearly 12 million. Judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh are this year joined by former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell.

The opening audition highlighted the impressive talent of 18 year old Gamu Nhengu and the nervy charm of Katie Waisell. Other interesting contenders included dancing “house husband” Stephen Hunter and “something different” Shirlena Johnson.
